Alexandrite at 755nm for fine to medium hair on lighter skin tones. Nd:YAG at 1064nm for all hair types and all Fitzpatrick skin tones. Most devices offer one. The GentleMax Pro PLUS delivers both from a single handpiece.
The PLUS designation is not cosmetic. Our machines have a larger spot size and higher peak fluence than the standard GentleMax Pro — which means faster treatment times, deeper follicle penetration and better results on coarser or resistant hair types.
Each pulse is paired with skin cooling to protect the surface from heat and keep treatment comfortable. Most of our clients describe the sensation as mild warmth — not the sharp pain often associated with older laser devices.
The 1064nm Nd:YAG is the clinical standard for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) — the only wavelength that can be used safely at effective fluence on deeply pigmented skin. Many devices in the market simply cannot treat these skin tones. We can.

Fitzpatrick skin type is a clinical scale from I (very fair) to VI (very dark). Many laser devices can only safely treat types I–III.
