Dr Liudmyla Gaida

A skin practitioner with a clinical-science background that is genuinely rare in the UK aesthetics industry. Dr Gaida holds a Doctorate in Biological Science (PhD), specialising in Biochemistry from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2009), and spent 15 years as a post-doctoral researcher and assistant professor at the same institution.

She moved into private practice in 2013, combining her research background with cosmetology training, and became a medical adviser to DMK Ukraine, Poland and Czech Republic — lecturing to other practitioners on skin biochemistry and evidence-based cosmetology. She is also a developer of educational programs for estheticians, including lectures on "Skin biochemistry", "Skin stem cells under the microscope of a cosmetologist", and "Evidence-based cosmetology". A repeated speaker at the "FROM SURFACE TO SHAPE" bi-annual conferences in Ukraine, Poland and Czech Republic.

In January 2025 she became one of a small group of DMK MD Advanced qualified practitioners in the UK — a Guild Accredited paramedical skin revision specialism. The combination of doctoral-level scientific background with DMK's paramedical approach is what makes Peonella different from a standard aesthetic clinic.
